While Mr. Magid is most assuredly an expert on the technical
	aspects of computing, he is not a FED EX. (Faxicological    
	Expositor Dominie EXtraodinaire.) So, as your cry for help  
	has given me a pain in the ol' glutimous maximus, I have    
	decided to give you a quick (Pro Bono) reply.               
Your cross linked offspring are apparently caused by your
	unique situation. While Dr. Mauve is all for tolererance of 
	cross species relationships, the mixing of the DNA pools of 
	one from OS2 and those of one from DOS 6 is highly          
	unconventional. (In the interests of propriety, I will not  
	comment on my revulsion as to you and your wife practicing  
	this ritual in your Windows!) How you managed to beget two  
	children amidst all those genetically cross linked files is 
	a wonderment to me.                                         
You ask if it is safe to use a dbldsk or a Highscan. If     
	these are brand names for safe fax covers, I'll assume that 
	they have been approved by the FDA. (Faxual Development  
	Agency) If so, they should be fine, if sized to fit your    
	equipment.                                                  
On another front, I've always thought it to be sound advice 
	to recommend the PAS. As fax covers go, PAS (Pretty As      
	Springtime)  has always been a sounder way of CYA (Covering 
	Your Activities) than the inferior imitations like the SB   
	(Sonically Boring.)                                         
You mention your problem with Faxus Telepathicus. Advising  
	on such a touchy area requires one to possess a modicum of  
	sensitivity. Luckily, Dr. Mauve is "mucho sensitivo."       
	Faxus Telepathicus, while banned in many States, and   
	condemned by most major religions, will not make one a      
	candidate for the Hair Club for men. Nor will it reek havoc 
	on one's optic nerves. A Telepathic fax, by definition, is  
	one performed solo. This would explain your quandary. You   
	and your wife must cease trying to perform a mutual         
	Telepathic fax, as it is a blasphemous endeavor. With the   
	right devices, you two should soon be performing mutual     
	faxing, a much more satisfying activity. Also, Telepathic   
	faxes are notorious for being unconsumatable. I would       
	recommend you visit the northeastern part of our nation. I  
	hear that mutual faxing is prolifically practiced there, and
	you will quickly solve your problem. While there, ask about 
	their custom of "Zoom Faxing." You will find it most        
	enlightening.                                               
Faxual "Backing Up," while entirely legal in many areas, is 
	NOT in Dr. Mauve's area of expertise!
